eRegistration - Leave and License online registration from anywhere and at any time
In Maharashtra, online registration for a leave and license agreement is done through the e-registration portal of the Department of Registration and Stamps at https://efilingigr.maharashtra.gov.in/ereg/. This online process allows you to prepare, execute, and submit the agreement without physically visiting a Sub-Registrar's Office.
Requirements for online registration
Documents: Aadhaar and PAN cards for the owner (licensor), tenant (licensee), and two witnesses. Proof of property ownership, such as an electricity bill or Index II, is also required.
Authorized Service Providers (ASPs): The IGR has authorized certain agencies (like "Maha e-Seva Kendra") and trained service providers who can assist with the e-registration process, including biometric verification at your doorstep.
